As the Captain of your ship, when it comes to life purpose, will your voyage be a successful one?
It would be so easy to let your ship go wherever the winds or the tides take you, with no real idea of where you are heading. Without a strong captain your ship could become lost in the storms, diverted off course by hobbies and addictions or relationships that hold you back…they could even prevent you leaving the harbor in the first place.
Every ship was built with a purpose and a cargo of gifts intended for others, this is a great responsibility and as the Captain you will require the assistance of a greater authority to guide you, to give you direction in moments of confusion and who understands the cargo you hold and for whom it is intended.
The voyage will be long and difficult, You will need to attend to the maintenance of the ship and ensure you have the right provisions, and there may be dissent among the crew which represents your thoughts and emotions, your preferences and fears. It will take a strong captain to run a tight ship.
You might have to leave behind certain aspects of your old life and set sail for new uncharted waters…
“Here you must follow what is strong within you and not what is weak. Here you must restrain yourself again and again from falling prey to your own passions and the persuasions of others. Here you must hold yourself apart to build your strength, apart from those who are weak and unwilling to do so, for they cannot be your companions now”
